The downtime was caused by an unusually high write load to one of our backend storage servers. We are further researching processes to mitigate this type of failure in the future.

The SproutLoud application was down for 5 minutes from 1:40 PM EST until 1:45 PM EST. We are continuing to investigate the exact cause and we will post a follow-up analysis as soon as possible.
